In order to be as transparent as possible, I would like to share (in plain English) the policies and disclaimers that you need to know about as both a website visitor and customer of my freelance business.
For Website Visitors
If you are visiting this website for any reason, this section is for you!
Analytics Data and Privacy
Your privacy is important to me. This website uses Google Analytics to collect data about each visit. Your name or other personally identifying information will not be associated with any of the data that Google Analytics collects.
External Links to My Websites
This website links to my other websites, including my main blog at kikolani.com and my premium training course at blogpostpromotion.com. Both of these sites also use Google Analytics. The blog has third party advertisers (clearly marked as Advertisers or Sponsors) and uses affiliate links, meaning that if you purchase certain products promoted on the blog, I will receive commission on those sales.
External Links on My Portfolio
In addition to links to my other websites, my portfolio page links to articles I have written on other websites. Since those websites are owned by my clients, I do not have control over what analytics tools, advertisers, or third party links they use. The sites I write for are reputable, but please be aware that when you click on a link from my portfolio, you are leaving this website and visiting others that I have no jurisdiction over.
For Customers
If you are a potential, current, or former customer of my freelance business, this section is for you!
Your Information
Information submitted in any contact form on this site will be kept confidential, and any information we discuss while getting to know each other will also be kept confidential, regardless of whether we decide to work together. I am also happy to sign a NDA if needed to have access to additional information about your company, products, and services before beginning work.
Unique Content
My goal is to create unique content for every client, every post, every time.
Since there is a high demand for blog content development on topics pertaining to online marketing, there is often an overlap in topic ideas from one client to the next, especially with fundamentals like SEO 101, Social Media 101, Business Blogging, and similar topics. Most freelancers would be out of business if they were only allowed to write about a topic once.
If your company asks for a post on a specific topic, and another company asks for a post on the same topic, I will write both posts from scratch with the most current information available. I will not copy from or repurpose work from one client for another. Fortunately, in the online marketing world, an article on basic Facebook Advertising written in June could be written completely differently in July thanks to their ongoing changes.
You are welcome to verify the uniqueness of your content compared to content I have written elsewhere using the free Copyscape Compare tool. This will give you verification that your content was custom made for you, no matter what the topic.
Rates, Refunds, and Revisions
The rates for any project will be agreed upon before work begins. Due to the nature of my services, any fees paid are non-refundable. I can assure you that I am dedicated to helping you achieve your goals, and I will work with you to make sure you are satisfied with each deliverable I provide. You will not be asked to pay any additional fees for revisions unless the scope of work completely changes.
Example of a revision within the scope of work: You order a 600 word post on Facebook Marketing, and then you decide you would like the post to focus more on promoting a small local business vs. promoting a nationwide chain. In this instance, you would not be charged for the revision or a new post.
Example of a revision that changes the scope of work: You order a 600 word post on Facebook Marketing, and then you decide you would like a 1,000 word post on Twitter Marketing instead. In this instance, you would be charged for a new post.
Exclusivity
As a freelance consultant, I do not offer exclusivity to any one company. If you are interested in working with me on an exclusive basis within your industry, we can discuss a contractual agreement that would benefit both of our businesses.
Example of exclusivity within your industry: You are an SEO agency, and you would like me to not work with other SEO agencies. If we sign an exclusivity contract, I would still continue working with any other businesses that are not SEO agencies.
Questions?
If you have any questions about the policies for either website visitors or customers, please feel free to inquire by contacting me.
